According to WIFR, Late Tuesday evening the Rockford fire department rescued a woman on top of her car floating in the Rock river. The fire department received a call at around 11:45pm from the Prairie street Brewhouse saying someone had driven into the river. When they arrived on the scene they found a woman sitting on top of her car floating in the river.

After they arrived on the scene, they used a boat to reach the woman. With the help of the fire crew and a diver they were able to rescue the woman and get her to safety. As of now no statement has been made on the woman's name or how the accident happened in the first place. Luckily she made it out unharmed. She was taken to the hospital just in case and later the car was removed from the river.
