We're all familiar with the image of a firefighter getting a stuck cat out of a tall tree, but Rockford firefighters had a different scenario to deal with Monday.

They had a cat, just not one in the tallest reaches of an oak tree. This cat, named Angie, was stuck behind the siding and cement of a wall in the 3000 block of 7th Street.

Obviously, a tall ladder carrying someone with no fear of heights whatsoever wouldn't get the job done, so rescuers went to work removing siding and cutting into concrete.

And, being firefighters, you can count on them to get the job done:

They then returned the no-longer stranded cat to her family for evaluation by a veterinarian.
