Rockford Easter Egg Hunts
Now that Easter is officially less than two weeks away it's time to start planning your Easter fun to-do list. A lot of egg hunts will be happening this weekend and next, and if you're prepared and plan it right you and the kiddos can hit up a lot of them.
Here's just a few of the not-to-miss Easter events coming up in Rockford:
- Northeast Y's Easter Egg-Streme - Friday, March 23, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at YMCA's Northeast Branch on Orth Road. Open to the public with donations accepted. Features an egg hunt divided by ages beginning at 7 p.m. (bring your own basket), photos with the Easter Bunny, crafts, inflatables, face painting and the chance to pet and hold real baby bunnies, goats, chicks and more!
- Easter Celebration at the Y - Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 3 to 5 p.m. I.D. Pennock Family YMCA at 200 Y Blvd in Rockford. An egg hunt for ages 4 and under, and another one for 5 years and above will take place at the Boat House parking lot. Free for Y members, $2 per kid for non-members. - Egg Hunt Egg-stravaganza - Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Discovery Center and Burpee Museum of Natural History. Kids 9 and under can hunt for eggs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and create fun Easter and spring-time art projects throughout both museums for one admission price. $10 for adults, $12 for children (member kids are just $3)
- City First Easter Egg Factory - Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1, 2018 immediately following each City First Church service. Free to attend and open to the public. A fun, interactive experience where each child will receive a carton of treat-filled eggs. RSVP to the event now on Facebook.
