If you travel through Midtown Rockford regularly then you'll want to be aware of some temporary street closures planned for Thursday (5/4).

First Thursday of Month Dog Walk Through Midtown Rockford

Ernie's Midtown Pub will be hosting the "Midtown Dog Walk" on the first Thursday of every month from May through October with the first happening today (Thursday, May 3).

The City of Rockford says that 5th Avenue will be closed to all traffic between 6th Street and 7th Street for this special event that is a benefit for Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary.

The closure of 5th Avenue will be from 3 pm to 9 pm and the event begins at 5 pm at Ernie's Midtown Pub located at 1025 5th Avenue.
