Rockford Couple Caught Selling Drugs In Walmart Parking Lot

Monday afternoon the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the Walmart on Riverside Blvd. While on the scene, they witnessed a drug deal go down. The police arrested a Rockford man named Charleston Collins age 30 and female Jasmine Barfield age 25. The two were taken into custody and police found out that Jasmine's one and a half year old child was actually in the car when it all happened according to WIFR.com.

Collins was charged with possession with intent to deliver 1 to 15 grams of Heroin, possession with intent to deliver Cocaine, resisting an officer and endangering the life of a child. Barfield was charged with possession with intent to deliver Cocaine and endangering the life of a child. I get it, people sell drugs but why would you ever endanger or even take your child with you. It makes me sick to my stomach. Both suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
