Rockford Car Dealer Fixes Operation Fallen Flags Truck For Free
There's a new car dealership that keeps their promise to support the surrounding community, and this story is even more proof.
Lou Bachrodt Automall (at Perryville Road and Cherryvale Boulevard) has been active in the community for over two decades, including hosting several blood drives, the Q98.5 12 Hours of Salvation Army Toy Drive, and more. Their generosity and care continue regardless of what time of the year it is. Just ask the folks behind Operation Fallen Flags, who needed repair work done on their truck. They weren't charged anything for the necessary repairs.
We were honored when contacted by Operation Fallen Flags to help repair their "Miss Glory" truck. If you aren't familiar with the group, they replace old and damaged flags with brand new ones. Repairing their truck is the least we could do for all of the amazing work they do. Thank you to all the Veterans out there, and thank you to Operation Fallen Flags for keeping up with this great cause.
Bob Augustyn, the service manager of Lou Bachrodt AutoMall's service department told WREX it was an honor to make sure the truck was up and running.
It wasn't stopping the way it should, so they gave us the opportunity to take a look at it... it was our honor to do it for them.
