Rock River Food Truck Fest To Make Big Comeback In New Location

For the majority of 2020, physically going out to eat and sitting in an actual restaurant was frowned upon thanks to COVID-19. It's no wonder that all the past year's pandemic-related restrictions and rules ushered in an even bigger obsession with food trucks in Rockford.

Last summer my family spent many a Thursday nights in the Forest Plaza parking lot at the Food Truck Walk-Thru munching on delicious menu selections from many Rockford-area food trucks, and we LOVED it. Not only are my kids fascinated by the actual food trucks themselves, but we loved going because it got us out and made us feel like life was halfway normal again.

Life in 2021 is still far from normal, but the future is looking brighter now that we are seeing events, concerts and festivals actually announcing dates and plans instead of cancelling them. If you plan on hitting up every fun thing the Summer of 2021 has in store for you, here is one thing you definitely need to add to your "must-do" list.

Rock River Food Truck Fest Announces Date and New Location for 2021

Earlier this week it was announced that the 3rd annual Rock River Food Truck Fest WILL be happening in 2021, and it WILL be better than any you've been to before.

Here's all the details we know so far:

When: Saturday, August 28 from 4 to 10 p.m. (those are extended hours for 2021!)
Where: Davis Park in Downtown Rockford (New location!)
What: Many of your favorite local food truck vendors, live music, and MORE attractions the whole family will love.

I know August is still several months away, but I want to make sure you get this date saved on your calendar right away...it will be too delicious to miss!
