Rochelle Restaurant Is Up For ‘Community Cafe of the Year’ Award

The Kitchen Table restaurant in Rochelle is often praised for the amazing work they do, and the delicious food they serve up.

You see, The Kitchen Table is a completely volunteer-based community cafe that welcomes all regardless of their ability to pay. It is not necessarily a soup kitchen, more of a pay-what-you-can eatery, and if you can't pay, that's OK too.

An organization called One World Everybody Eats creates spaces all over the country where "people are nourished in body and soul. People come together, eat in dignity, and form strong bonds that foster an interconnected community."  They are now looking to crown the best community eatery nation, and this is where you and I come in.
