I don't know if you saw this article in the Rockford Register Star this past July, but according to U.S. News & World Report, Rockford Memorial Hospital was rated as one of the best regional hospital's.

I have to agree with that report.

My Dad was hospitalized on Sunday and recently (yesterday) had gall bladder surgery at Rockford Memorial Hospital.

As scary as it is having a parent go under anesthetic, I have to say this hospital really put my family and I at ease.

I was and am really impressed with this facility. From the doctors and nurses with their upbeat and friendly manner, to having automatic antibacterial hand sanitizer stations just about every where I look (love that), right down to awesome cafeteria food. I loved the Grilled Turkey Reuben I had last night. Mmm, yummy!

I certainly can see why U.S. News and World Report rated them as one of the best in the northwestern region.

Now, in all fairness, all of the hospitals here in Rockford do a great job. In fact, we are very fortunate to have 3 great ones right here in Winnebago County.

However, with my recent experience U.S. New & World Report was dead on right. Typically, I don't really pay attention to those reports in the magazines, but now with the recent events I will.

Thank you Rockford Memorial for your care and concern for my Dad and his well being.
