Rita Crundwell Wants Out of Prison, Fearful of COVID-19

Back in 2013, former Dixon, IL comptroller was sentenced to 20 years in prions for stealing over $50 Million from the city. WREX

She loved her show horses, and the money is took to get them. She is set to be released in 2029 but wants out now. The fear of COVID-19 has Rita asking for her release. A judge stated that she can seek a "compassionate release."
