Portillo’s Tops Best Fast Food List In Illinois

Portillo's hot dogs, Italian beef, and chocolate cake shakes may be the reason everyone in Illinois.

A food and wine aficionado over at foodandwine.com has given the keys of the fast food kingdom to Portillo's, now known as Illinois' best fast food.

you step inside, and you’re home again, home in no-place-quite-like-it Illinois, dammit, and no matter how many locations they open, there are so many now, it’s always the same, there’s always that sense of place, and the food is always too delicious for its own good.

And delicious it is. Those hot dogs, Italian Beefs, french fries, chocolate cake shakes... it'll make you hungry just thinking about it. Oh, you HAVE to try their bbq ribs... just called ahead and order them before popping in.
