Ready to experience fall fun in Northern Illinois? Here's when 3 of the area's most popular pumpkin patches will be opening for the 2024 season.

Who's Ready For Fall Fun in Illinois?!?

As a born and bred Northern Illinois resident, to me, there’s nothing quite like the magic of fall. I love the smells, the tastes, the activities, the hoodies, basically I love just about everything the fall season brings, (except raking leaves!)

Please don't judge me, but I’m already counting down the days until I can wander through endless rows of pumpkins, while sipping on apple cider and soaking up the autumn atmosphere. If you're as excited as I am, here's when  three must-visit pumpkin patches in the area are officially opening for the 2024 fall season:

Opening Dates for Northern Illinois Pumpkin Patches

The Pumpkin Patch in Caledonia, IL - Opening for the Halloween season on September 12!

When I was a kid no Halloween was complete without a stop at The Pumpkin Patch, and I still feel the same way as an adult. Want an insiders tip? Admission to The Pumpkin Patch is typically free on weekdays, (Monday - Friday), so it's a great way to save some cash but still have some major family fun.

Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm in South Barrington, Illinois - 2024 Fall Festival open daily from  September 7 through October 31.

FYI, Goebbert's also has another location in Pingree Grove, Illinois that is a little smaller than South Barrington but still just as fun!

Susie's Garden Patch in Garden Prairie, Illinois - (Open now on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for selling fresh seasonal produce)

People may love Susie's fresh fruits and veggies, but what they love even more is the Pumpkin Fill Up they host for one weekend each Fall where all pumpkins under 50 pounds are just $5 (or less)! The dates for 2024's Pumpkin Fill Up haven't officially been announced yet, but it typically happens the second weekend of October, so clear some time on your calendar now.
