Today, (Wednesday), is Illinois Speed Awareness Day and local police forces will not be playing around with people driving over the speed limit. Seriously.

I think this post from the Illinois State Police district in Pecatonica will prove just how serious they will be taking speed limit enforcement today. (I also want to say how much I love the sense of humor of whoever is responsible for their social media pages too. LOL!)

According to mystateline.com, Illinois State Police District 16 Commander Captain Carl Heintz says every member of his district will be out Wednesday enforcing speed limits.

The ISP's helicopter may be in the shop, but their squad cars and radars are in full working condition, so consider yourself warned. Might want to set the speed control so your lead foot doesn't get the best of you today. Just sayin'.
