Petition Hopes To Stiff-Arm WWE Into Returning Rockford, Illinois

WWE will return to touring and bring Monday Night Raw to Allstate Arena in August. In July 2020, WWE had a scheduled house show (non-televised event) in Rockford at BMO Harris Bank Center that was ultimately postponed. But when will the reschedule date be?

Someone from Rockford is taking the initiative to bring back the "squared circle" to Rockford and wants WWE specifically. He wants it so much he started a petition.

WE WANT WRESTLING (CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP)

I came across this petition while Googling the dates of past televised WWE and WCW stops in Rockford at BMO Harris Bank Center, formerly Rockford MetroCentre, and also known as "the Big Orange Box."

As there is no rescheduled date available (to my knowledge) why not start one, right? Well, based on the number of signatures it seems as though no one else is interested in WWE returning to Rockford. This seems incredibly unlikely.

My guess, based on the zero signatures, is that someone created the petition and left it in the dark.

The petitioners' name is clever, though. Stone Cold's Crushed Can created it but failed to actually sign it. Maybe they forgot? Maybe they have too many Steve Wiesers while putting it together?
