The City of Rockford's Public Works Department will perform arterial pavement striping on several roadways this week. Here are the roads that will be striped in the coming days. 

 

Remember, traffic safety regulators will be in place during the striping. According to WREX TV 13, here are the streets in the Rockford area will be striped:

Auburn St. from Springfield Ave. to the Auburn St. Bridge N. Main St. from John St. to Elmwood Rd.

Riverside Blvd. from Central Ave. to the Bridge Rockton Ave. from Custer Ave. to Elmwood Rd.

Avon St. from Cedar St. to State St.

Preston St. from Avon St. to Springfield Ave.

Chestnut/Walnut/1st Ave from W. State St. to E. State St.

Jefferson St. from State St. to Kilburn Ave.

Charles St. from State St. to Alpine Rd.

Public Works Superintendent Mark Stockman says weather permitting, the operation is scheduled to begin as early as this Wednesday, July 8.

Remember to reduce speed and to protect the finish on your own care, avoid driving over a freshly painted stripe.
