Old Navy is offering a nice deal for any of its employees who decide to work at the polls this November. This is the clothing company's way of encouraging its staff about the importance of being involved with the democratic process. This incentive will be offered to all employees even if they aren't scheduled to work.

In a story shared by Eyewitness News, Old Navy wants its employees to serve in their communities and is planning on "giving them the means to do so." The "means" is a full eight-hours worth of pay. Coincidentally, Old Navy shared this news on National Poll Worker Recruitment Day. The company says one of the reasons behind this initiative is related to the percentage of workers who are ages 18-29.

64% of Old Navy field employees are 18-29 years old, which historically is the segment of the population with the lowest voter turnout. This initiative allows for this demographic to become more involved in the election process than in years past.

Old Navy also wants customers to step up and serve this coming election season. Why? Because of the coronavirus.

Our democracy depends on ordinary people who make sure elections run smoothly and everyone's vote is counted. You can make sure we have a safe, fair, efficient election for all.

The clothing giant also shared tips on how to help with the election virtually if you have concerns related to COVID-19. You can read more here.
