Ogle County To Hold Free Electronic Recycling Event This Week
If you're tired of having to pay to have your old electronic items taken away this might be what you're exactly looking for.
I don't have a lot of personal attachments to electronics but if you look at my basement you might think differently.
That's because I've never been able to get rid of them, well, without having to pay for someone to haul them away.
However, this event that I noticed happening this Saturday is giving me a reason to get rid of my twenty-year-old computer monitor and other random electronics I've needed to pitch out for some time now.
Something I didn't even know existed until this week, but the Ogle County Residential Electronics Recycling Program is taking your old electronics...for FREE (Well, almost free. Ogle County does charge $5 for microwave dropoff)
A massive list of accepted items from CD/DVD players, cell phones, tablets, TVs and laptops can be dropped off at 909 Pines Road this Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you can't make it this Friday, the next electronics recycling event is scheduled for Saturday, April 13.
