This week's Hometown Hero joined the Army straight out of high school but, unfortunately, his military career was cut short due to an accident. The then 22-year-old suffered a traumatic brain injury and required hip surgeries. That's not the only thing he's been through. Recently his hand was accidentally cut with a chainsaw in a freak accident at his neighbor's. Nicholas Wurm, nominated by Kaley, has a "never give up" attitude. T
Regardless of the things he’s been through, he is the most selfless person I have met. He is always willing to help people whether it’s a random person on the street or someone close to him even when he is going through tough times. He is always going above and beyond to make sure the people around him are happy.
So, for being a Q98.5 Hometown Hero, Nick will get a $100 Amazon gift card from the folks at Gustafson's Furniture & Mattress. That's nothing compared to wants to coming in a few months.
He is a soon to be father which he is beyond excited for. He is so deserving of winning something like this.
Each week Q98.5 announces a new Hometown Hero on Thursdays at 7:35.
