No Classes For Rockford-Area Schools

It's another "snow day" for kids within RPS205 and most surrounding districts but it has nothing to do with snow.

Early Thursday morning school officials sent out an alert that school and all RPS205-related activities held at schools are canceled due to freezing rain, otherwise known as "Severe weather."

All Rockford Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 7, because of the severe weather. All district after-school activities are canceled. The Administration Building (including the Welcome Center), Sterling Holley and Operations Support Center will be open. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Be safe and only drive if you absolutely need to.
