As if Disney Theme Parks weren't enough, parents, soon your children will be asking to go to New Jersey to see SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer in person as well.

According to WIFR, a Nickelodeon theme park is set to open this week in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It will be located at the American Dream Mall and features more than 35 rides, roller coasters, and attractions. Including the Shellraiser which features a 122-foot drop! Kids can meet some of their favorite Nickelodeon characters and have some fun on the Slime Stage! The price is fairly reasonable compared to other amusement style parks. A general admission ticket will cost $39.99 and an all-access ticket will cost $49.99. Kids under 2 get in for free.

Nickelodeon is still a huge draw for kids. For parents looking to save a little money from going to DIsney World in Orlando, Nickelodeon's theme park may be for you. The kids can still meet some of their favorite show characters, ride some rides, and who wouldn't want to get slimed? With how expensive Disney parks have become, and with more attractions and experiences than Nickelodeon's it makes sense, it's becoming harder and harder for families to cover the costs. Plus, this is an indoor theme park so no more Florida in July or August when the kids are out of school. Imagine air conditioning!
