I have to be honest here, I am a proud vaper. I smoked almost 2 packs a day for 20 years. In those twenty years I know that I have caused my lungs and body irreversible damage. Six years ago I decided to put them down, but I picked up an E-Cig. Now a little over 6 years later I still vape. I am down to the lowest amount of Nicotine. I breathe better and I have noticed a major difference in my health. Though test are being done, there are still a lot of questions about how safe they really are.

In the last few years cigarette prices have shot up all over the nation. Some people are even paying almost 15 dollars a pack. New legislation was introduced in Springfield this week called the Tobacco products act. Last week the Senate President John Cullerton called on lawmakers to triple the cigarette tax proposal according to MyStateLine.com. If this bill passes it will also affect the vaping community with tax raises across the board on those products. Some vaping business owners feel that vaping is different from tobacco and it should not be a part of this bill.

There are a lot of vape shops across Illinois and some owners think if the price goes up on all of their products that they might have to close their doors.
