Summer Vacation Plans

Have you already lined up and planned all the vacations you will be taking this summer? I sure haven't. I have a good idea of what days/weeks I will be taking off, but exactly where I will be going is still up in the air.

Should I use all my vacation time at our Wisconsin lake house?

Should I use half of it at home to get all the big projects I have been putting off done?

Should I splurge and go someplace amazing?

I think we can all agree that any place you go that doesn't involve work will be enjoyable, but a beautiful beach far from home sounds pretty darn good right now!

New International Flights at Chicago Rockford International Airport

What I am about to say is beyond ridiculous, but sadly, it is true...I have lived in the Rockford area my entire life, but still have never flown out of the Chicago Rockford International Airport. How stupid, right?!?!

It's not that the Rockford Airport doesn't offer any flights I want to take, (I can't wait until flights to Nashville return on May 22!), it's more about finding the time and money to go on a full-blown family vacation. However, today I just found another reason to book a flight.

A recent Chicago Rockford International Airport press release says that RFD saw a record number of passenger flights in 2024, which is awesome, but this news may be even better...

RFD also confirmed the return of its popular international flights in partnership with ALG Vacations. Starting this year, travelers can once again enjoy flights to Cancun, Mexico and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. In addition, a new destination—Huatulco, Mexico—will be offered.

LET'S GO!

Tickets for all of RFD's international destinations will go on sale May 3, 2025, and I'm willing to bet these flights will fill up quick, so don't miss out!
