New BBQ place Coming to Rockford and They are Hiring

All you have to do is say barbecue and you will get my instant attention. I'm licking my chomps right now and looking for a stack of those wet moist towelettes. Rockford will soon welcome a new barbecue joint.

The Rockford Register Star is reporting that Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will soon open for business at 845 S. Perryville Road, just south of Fincham Drive.

The Dickey's franchise is based in Texas and smokes its meat on-site.

Dickey's is known for:

• Beef Briskets
• Italian marinated chicken breasts
• Turkey
• Polish Style Kielbasa
• Pulled Pork
• Pork Ribs
• Barbecue Honey Ham

Dickey's owner Restaurant owner Ryan McPeek said he hopes to open New Year’s Eve. Job applications are being accepted at this time. About 15 employees will be hired. “My son and I looked at several franchises online,” McPeek said. “Dickey’s was clearly the best choice. I like that you will be able to come into our restaurant and get a rack of ribs in about five minutes.”
