According to USA Today, there's a new petition being circulated to change the day that kids go trick or treating. After a failed attempt to get Halloween moved to the last Saturday of October, they have started a petition to get a new holiday the last Saturday of October called National Trick Or Treat Day.

The intention behind it is so that kids can go trick or treating during more daylight hours which is safer for the kids and also safer for everybody still passing out candy once the sun goes down. Another big reasoning for the petition is so that kids don't have to worry about going to school the next day after being up and out collecting candy the night before.

Trunk or treat events are usually held on days outside of Halloween so it's not that far fetched of an idea. Do you think we should have a National Trick or Treat Day? Leave me a comment below.
