Missing 14-Year-Old Last Seen in Rockford Sparks Urgent Search

Police in both Wisconsin and Illinois are asking for help finding a 14-year-old girl who was last seen March 6, 2026 in Rockford, Illinois.

Stories about missing children always break my heart, but when authorities say that missing child was last seen in Rockford, my desire to help kicks into overdrive.

We may never know why a child goes missing, and we don't need to. What we do need to do is stay alert and aware, and report any information we have about the child to local authorities immediately, no matter how trivial the information may seem.

Fourteen-year-old Miya Rishae Lynch has been missing since March 6, 2026, and was last seen in Rockford.

It is unclear from reports if Miya is originally from Rockford, but I did find this post on social media that says she is in the foster care system and was moved to Rockford in January 2026:

As parents, neighbors, and community members, it’s hard not to imagine our own kids in this situation. I would want to know complete strangers are willing to step up to protect, help find and bring my child home safe.
