Capacity will be cut in half, and movie-goers will have to stay in their vehicles. Vehicles will be parked 12 to 16 feet apart.

First, opening night was all set for May 1st. Then, the McHenry Outdoor Theater was told that their business was "non-essential," so opening night was cancelled.

Then, somehow, the designation was changed from non-essential to, well, something like "kinda essential."

Bottom line, if you're tired of being housebound and would like to take a little road trip to McHenry (48.2 miles from Rockford) this weekend, they've got a double feature lined up for you on Friday and Saturday nights:

Jurassic Park and The Flintstones.
