The Ciao Bella tradition will continue, just with a different name.

With the Rockford region moving into Tier 1, restaurants all over the area have been getting ready to welcome back their guests. Ciao Bella, while not ready quite yet, will have a whole new look and name.

In a Facebook post the owners first announced the birth of a new daughter, congratulations, but also that they were working on a big overhaul of the restaurant. From their Facebook post:

The Pomodoro will be opening in early March and will be the new face of Ciao. As we are working on the new look, we will remain open for curbside pick-up as we have been. The Pomodoro will still focus on pasta, seafood, and steaks with great wine and dynamite cocktails.

I can't wait to see what they have in store for the new look. Ciao Bella was one of the best places in town with a great staff and owner.

They're not quite open yet but their post says they will still be doing takeout and curbside service until then.

Make sure you check out their sister restaurant Baked Wings that opened up last year. I am personally not a very big fan of wings, but the salt and vinegar wings they make are some of the best I've had. Not really sure how he pulls it off without frying anything, but it's definitely working out.

Restaurants are opening back up. Let's get out and safely enjoy them. It'll feel good to get back to a little bit of normal.
