Rockford man Wins $200,000 Lottery Jackpot on Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th turned very lucky for Tom Brown.

Brown is a 71-year-old resident of Rockford and he is now $200,000 richer.  This past Friday, Tom used a dime to scratch off an 'Illinois Lottery Vegas' ticket on Friday the 13th, and now he's going to Disney World!

Mystateline.com is reporting that  he will use some of the proceeds to take his wife, two children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on a trip to Disney World in Florida

"Friday the 13th certainly was lucky for me,” he reportedly said when he presented the winning ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Rockford.

Brown is a longtime Rockford resident who says he buys one instant ticket each week.

The winning ticket was bought at Schnucks on East State. The store will receive a $2000 bonus for selling the ticket.

The Illinois lottery says the Vegas scratch off game is a $5 instant ticket. It has four top prizes of $200,000 and 20 prizes of $10,000.
