Local Country Band Starts Fundraiser for Sycamore Fire Victims
Last week several families lost everything they have in a fire at the St. Albans Green Apartment Complex in Sycamore, and now the entire Sycamore community is taking action to help them recover.
One of the things I love most about the Country Music community is their constant devotion to not only their music but to helping others in need.
Country band Back Country Roads from Sycamore posted this on their Facebook Monday, and since then an amazing amount of support for the cause has been rolling in...
The outpouring of love and support from that one post from Back Country Roads has led to the creation of an entire event called "Sycamore Strong - A Gathering of Hope" which is scheduled for August 7, 2019, at Blumen Gardens in Sycamore.
The fundraiser gathering will feature live music, food, beverages and hope. Tickets are on sale now for $25 if you buy them in advance. If you can't make it to the event, but would still like to help these Sycamore families in need, find out how you can donate, here.
