Letter From Santa If You’re A Parent Who Has To Work On Christmas
A Facebook user wrote the perfect solution for any parent who has to miss Christmas Day with their family due to work.
Stephanie wrote on Facebook that her husband had to work on Christmas Day. Nobody wants to have to tell their children we can't all be together on Christmas, so she came up with a pretty incredibly solution. She wrote a letter to her kids as if she was Santa, explaining that Christmas would be on a different day this year.
I'm not gonna lie, this letter got me emotional. Stephanie wrote this letter to make it easier on military and first responder families, according to scarymommy.com.
“Juggling shift work…on-call hours, deployments, TDYs, etc. and ‘normal’ holiday events can get quite hectic. “And no matter what, our amazing kids just push on through, sharing their parent(s) with us all.”
The letter has become quite a phenomenon. It has been shared over 25,000 times and people have even asked if she could write a version of the letter for those in other professions who'll be working on Christmas Day. You'll find links to the other versions Stephanie was so kind to write after her original letter below.
