North of the border, things are about to get all kinds of smoky, legally. Illinois has been doing the legal weed thing for over a year and the money brought in has been to crazy, you would think the people counting it were high. Now it's Wisconsin's turn, maybe.

From Channel3000 as part of his 2021-23 biennial budget, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers says he is ready for the green. It's all about those ridiculous tax dollars and Wisconsin is ready to light it up. Gov. Evers said that the Wisconsin tax dollars would be around $165 million each year, if pot was legal up north.

“Legalizing and taxing marijuana in Wisconsin—just like we do already with alcohol—ensures a controlled market and safe product are available for both recreational and medicinal users and can open the door for countless opportunities for us to reinvest in our communities and create a more equitable state, frankly, red and blue states across the country have moved forward with legalization and there is no reason Wisconsin should be left behind when we know it’s supported by a majority of Wisconsinites.” - Gov. Tony Evers

Well there you for Wisconsin friends, It's almost legal weed time. All of the same rules and laws would apply in Wisconsin, like in Illinois...age, amount you can purchase, etc.
