Northern Illinois Man is the $265 Million Dollar Mega Millions Lottery Winner

$265 Million Dollars! It's the largest prize in Illinois lottery history.

The winner will be announced tater today.  Illinois lottery officials have announced a west surburban man will claim the largest prize in Illinois Lottery history.

Lottery officials say that the man is from Naperville and matched all six numbers on the January 16th drawing on a Mega Millions lottery ticket

The Naperville resident won $265 million dollars on a $5 Mega Millions ticket.

He spent $5 on a Quick Pick ticket and it matched all six numbers during the January 16th drawing.

WGN-TV reports that Illinois Lottery officials will present him with a ceremonial oversized check to commemorate the win and also release his name, when he is presented with the check later today.
