Illinois' country music fans were in for a rare treat yesterday when news broke that a major star was set to perform a surprise pop-up show at a cozy Chicago bar.

Carol's Pub, located at 4659 North Clark Street, is typically closed on Mondays, but it made an exception.

That's because this Windy City bar, which has been around for over 50 years, plays live country and western music, offers some of the finest karaoke, and serves up some of the best cold beer in the area.

Oh yeah, Keith Urban was playing host to the bar.

Fans were stunned.

Hannah Anthony on X said, "Wait, what?! Keith Urban is playing on that little stage at Carol's Pub?!"

The setting was indeed intimate, with Urban's performance being so close that you could almost reach out and touch him if you were lucky enough to be in the front row.

Another person on X said, "Keith Urban playing at Carol's is sort of (but not really) like when The Rolling Stones played The Double Door."

Matt Lindner also said,
There's a funny clip of Urban taking requests, and even a few of them stumped him and his bandmates.
