In their efforts to step up the patrolling of  the neighborhoods and keeping them safe the Janesville Police department have add a green vehicle to their fleet. An electric motorcycle, the Zero Police DS motorcycle, will soon begin patrolling the remote parts of the city of Janesville.

According to WREX news, this is the first electric motorcycle to be used by a police department in the State of Wisconsin.  Nine officers from all three patrol shifts are trained to operate the motorcycle.

The Janesville Police Department invite the community to see a demonstration of the Zero Police DS Motorcycle  this Thursday, July 16, at 11 a.m. near the lower pavilion of Palmer Park.
