I know that the suspect in this story is a criminal, but he started off with some major mistakes that eventually got him busted. It's funny because this is the perfect example of a dumb criminal committing a stupid crime. I'm not surprised this guy tried to get away with some real bonehead moves.

A man who stole kitchen appliances from an Elmhurst store also parked in a handicapped spot in front of the store's door, authorities said.
The suspect decided he wanted to commit a robbery. His first mistake was choosing Kohl's. Their stores get robbed all the time, so they have a killer security system. Then he got to the target and parked in the handicap zone. That was a really dumb move. Now, he's attracting attention to himself. He ended up stealing some small kitchen appliances.
This guy cut the security tags off the stolen products, so the anti-theft device wouldn't go off while they were trying to get away. Well, the cops were already aware of the situation. By the time the suspect hopped back into his vehicle, the spiked strips were placed behind his tires. He still tried to escape, but his car crashed a few miles from the scene of the crime where the officers found him.
