I found an unfortunate accident that involved a car and an animal you don't really ever hear about being hit by a vehicle. It was a horse. Guess who won that battle?

According to abc7chicago.com, 

A man was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries after crashing a vehicle into a horse, killing the animal early Thursday near Elgin.

The owner of the horse told police he thought the animal was suffering from a medical issue and had broken out of the stable prior to the crash.

This collision took place at 12:30 am on Illinois Route 47 and Rohrsen Road. The driver was transported to a hospital and should be fine. Apparently, the horse had escaped and was out running loose.
