Chicago Cubs Bring Oktoberfest Fun to Wrigleyville This Fall
If you’ve ever dreamed of pairing brats, beer, and baseball, the Chicago Cubs are making it happen this fall. For the first time ever, Wrigleyville is hosting Oktoberfest with the Cubs, a three-day Bavarian-style festival September 19–21.
Chicago Cubs Bring Oktoberfest Fun to Wrigleyville

This isn’t just a token nod to Oktoberfest; the food lineup is straight out of Munich. Bookclubchicago.com is reporting guests can dig into bratwurst with sauerkraut, giant pretzels with mustard or beer cheese, schnitzel, potato salad, and apple strudel for dessert. And of course, no Oktoberfest is complete without flowing beer tents and a ceremonial keg tap to kick things off.
Family-Friendly Fun in Wrigleyville
While the evenings are all about steins and live music, the Cubs have carved out time for families too. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, the festival becomes Kinderfest, complete with face painting, balloon artists, rides, and kid-friendly crafts. It’s a day trip from Rockford that lets parents enjoy Oktoberfest vibes while keeping the kids entertained.
Extend the Celebration Into Game Day
The fun doesn’t stop with the festival. On September 23, Gallagher Way will host a special Cubs Oktoberfest pregame party before the matchup with the New York Mets. Fans who snag the ticket package will score a commemorative stein to keep the memories flowing long after the last brat is gone.
