If Wisconsin chicken lovers thought the lines at their local Raising Cane’s were long now, just wait, because the fast-growing chain says it plans to double its number of Badger State locations. And after watching Rockford absolutely lose its mind when Cane’s opened here a few months ago, I totally get why. That chicken… that toast… and that dipping sauce that should honestly come with a warning label, it’s all ridiculously addictive.

The Louisiana-born chicken-finger empire confirmed it’s aiming for roughly 15 total locations across Wisconsin, up from the seven operating today. According to JSOnline.com, while they’re keeping exact timelines secret, real estate competition and all that, they did say five to six new restaurants will land in the greater Milwaukee area.

Why Wisconsin Is Fired Up for Cane’s

Since opening the first Wisconsin location in Madison back in 2021, Cane’s energy has exploded across the state. Kenosha joined the party in 2023, Greendale in 2024, and more fans keep discovering that simple menu done really well.

If it’s anything like opening day in Rockford, Wisconsinites better brace for drive-thru lines that look like a Packers tailgate.
