A new study ranked America's best ghost tours based on reviews from people who've actually taken them.

One of America's Best Ghost Tours Is in Illinois
I'm not a walking tour aficionado, but I took one in Savannah, and my two-word review would be "it's fine."
Anyway, they looked at average ratings, the percentage of five-star reviews, and the number of reviews before giving each tour something called a "Ghost Experience Score."
Chicago Ghost Tour Ranks Among the Top 10 in America
The History and Hauntings of Salem Guided Walking Tour in Salem, Massachusetts was top-ranked, but Illinois' Haunted Chicago Crime, Ghosts and Capone Walking Tour ranked 8th.
It was the only ghost tour in the top 10 originating in Illinois and the only one located in the Midwest.

What Makes a Ghost Tour One of America's Best?
Keep in mind, this isn't based on how many ghosts or how haunted each tour is; it's only on what visitors enjoyed the most.
Then again, if you actually see a ghost on the tour, I feel like that's an automatic five stars.
