If you have the time, money, patience, and ability to sit through some of the most popular horror movies of all time you're gonna love what's happening this weekend.

Announced earlier this week, the Midway Drive-In, located at 91 Palmyra Road in Sterling, Illinois, will host another round of their beloved "Dusk to Dawn" movie marathons.

In case you don't know, the Midway has become synonymous with showing some of the greatest camp horror classics and this weekend won't do much to dispel that notion.

According to the Midway Drive-In website, the event starts at 5 p.m. with vendors selling some of their finest horror wares including tees, posters, and movies.

Then at 8 p.m. (or whenever it gets dark enough), Child's Play kicks off Dusk To Dawn Horror Fest.

This is the original right here, the movie that unleashed Chucky onto the world. It's an absolutely great flick and probably a lot of fun at the drive-in.

Next up, Return of the Living Dead. To me, it's an underrated classic and one that also plays really well at an outdoor movie venue.

The other two are Slumber Party Massacre and Frankenhooker. If my math is right, Frankenhooker will probably wrap up right around 5 a.m. so it's going to be a long night but if you're into horror movies from the 80s/90s, this should be your jam.

Despite the pandemic-related resurgence of drive-ins across America, I still hear about locations closing from time to time. So, if you love movies as much as I do, consider checking out this event or seeing a flick at some other drive-in that's nearby just to help keep them alive and thriving.

Speaking of, you can get tickets for Dusk to Dawn Horror Fest HERE.
