Illinois Shopping Center Called One of America’s ‘Best Malls’

Were you kind of like me, surprised to see a list of the best malls in America while also trying to figure out what constitutes a "good" mall?

I immediately thought, "They're open" so that must mean something but Traveller's Worldwide goes a bit deeper to decide which malls are better than others.

On their list of The 15 Best Malls in America, one of the bunch just so happens to be in Illinois. Do you have any idea what it might be?

Established 49 years ago, Woodfield Mall is located in Chicago, Illinois. The 225 stores in the shopping mall offer everything you need. It’s among the few malls in Schaumburg that offer fine dining and amusements.

Recently, Chicago residents voted Woodfield as the best shopping and entertainment mall. The iconic destination hosts several brands such as Apple, Aveda, and Asha Salon Spa.

Ah, good old Woodfield Mall. I was there last month and I was impressed by how hopping that place was. There was a real energy in that building. The whole place smelled like commerce.

Considering malls are dying across the United States, Woodfield has managed to withstand what has done so many others in the past decade or so.

I noticed an influx of new stores and Yelper Michelle F. says "The mall has improved dramatically since Simon Management took it over pre-Covid. There are a lot more designer stores; Michael Kors, Psycho Bunny, Coach, Tumi, Timberland and Lacoste to name a few.

However, Mujtastik M. had a different experience saying Woodfield is "horrible" and "it would be more valuable as a parking lot."
