
Illinois iPhone Users Could Get Cash From Apple Settlement
Illinois folks who bought an iPhone and felt the promises of what their new device would do, and who are a little let down by it, have a chance to cash in.
It’s interesting because I remember hearing about these new features called Apple Intelligence that were to use AI/Siri, but all I know is that I got a new phone.

Apple’s $250 Million Settlement Over 'Enhanced Siri' Delays
As in, if there was a new feature, I haven’t noticed. Looks like some disgruntled users did a bit more than that, though, as Apple agreed to pay out $250 million to people like me.

Eligible devices include the iPhone 16 lineup and iPhone 15 Pro models. If you hoped that these new features would change your life, and all you got was bupkis, you qualify for some cash.
Does Your iPhone Purchase Fall Within the Eligibility Window?
Here’s the thing: you have to make sure the purchase was also made between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025.
The payout is nice, too, as it is expected to be between $25 and $95. I’m hoping for the higher end, but since I actually qualify, I’m certain it will be lower.

That said, Apple denies wrongdoing but settled anyway. Can you imagine paying $250M just to have something go away? If only they had dumped that $250M into Apple Intelligence. Just saying.
