A Quad Cities tradition continues this weekend in Illinois that celebrates a species we see a lot this time of year and that is the national bird of the U.S. Bald Eagle Days returns to the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island, IL and you can enjoy it for free.
Bald Eagle Days Returns To Rock Island
Quad City Bald Eagle Days returns to the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island (2621 4th Ave) this weekend. The largest conservation events in the Quad Cities area starts Friday, January 5 through January 7, 2024.
Each winter when Bald Eagles gather in the Quad City area to feed on the open waters of the Mississippi River the Quad City Conservation Alliance hosts the annual Quad City Bald Eagle Days Celebration. Attendees of the event can see live eagle shows presented by the World Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis and other live animal presentations.
A variety of exhibitors, vendors and educational displays will fill the exhibit hall of the QCCA Expo Center. Admission to the event also provides guests with the opportunity to join the QC Audubon Society for free guided bus tours around the QCA for outdoor eagle viewing.
Admission, Hours & Free Tickets
Admission is required for Bald Eagle Days 2024. Adults are $6, kids 6-15 are $1, and kids under 6 are free.
Below are the hours for Bald Eagle Days 2024 are as follows:
- Friday: 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. (kids 6-15 free)
- Saturday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
