We were not surprised that Missouri has two of the most educated cities in the US, we were surprised, however, which two cities are the most educated in the Show-Me State. Here are the details...

According to a list called the Most & Least Educated Cities in America 2024, from the experts at WalletHub, St. Louis and Kansas City both are in the top 50 of the most educated cities in America! St. Louis is 47th on the list, meanwhile. Kansas City ranks a couple of spots higher at 39th on the list. St. Louis and Kansas City rank higher than cities like Orlando, Dallas, Miami, Phoenix, and Milwaukee.

How did WalletHub determine this list? On the site, they say "WalletHub compared the 150 largest metropolitan statistical areas, or MSAs, across 11 key metrics. Our data set ranges from the share of adults aged 25 and older with a bachelor’s degree or higher to the quality of the public-school system to the gender education gap." What are the MOST educated cities in America this year? The site lists Ann Arbor, Michigan at number one, followed by San Jose, California, and Washington D.C., to see the full list for yourself, click here!

Is this list accurate?

The list would be 10000% accurate if they retitled the list Ranking How Well Educated the Top 150 Cities in America are in 2024. But when you can't include cities like Columbia, Missouri, Champaign, Illinois, and other smaller towns across the country that are home to terrific institutions of higher learning, then it seems unfair to say that Missouri's top two educated cities are Kansas City and St. Louis.
