Raising Cane’s Expanding Again — Illinois Gets New Restaurant
The big get bigger. Raising Cane's explosive expansion continues with another Illinois restaurant that should be open in only a few days.
This is what 820 W Randolph Street in Chicago looked like late last year
According to Cheapism, this empty location is about to be filled with chicken fingers-lots and lots of chicken fingers. They say that Raising Cane's is already preparing to open a new restaurant in this formerly empty Chicago street corner as soon as November 18, 2025. They say that Raising Cane's is opening 11 new restaurants in 8 different states in just November alone. Forbes estimates the Raising Cane's empire to now be worth a staggering $22 billion dollars.
The past 5 years have been challenging for the restaurant industry as a whole with the shutdown and then huge staffing problems after the reopen. Raising Cane's appears to have found the magic formula for forward growth and Illinois is the beneficiary of the latest expansion plans. This new location will bring the total in the state of Illinois to 44 according to their official website.
How is Raising Cane's growing so fast?
A video on YouTube claims that a vast majority of Raising Cane's locations are company-owned which gives them more control over how the restaurants are positioned and expand. I don't know about that, but I do know the opportunity to get chicken fingers in Illinois is growing fast.
