This just in. You might be living in a real life Matrix. Don't believe me? A guy swears he has video proof that there's a dome over Illinois.

This brand new video share made me chuckle a little bit and I'm not trying to give the guy who shared this a hard time. To say that I don't understand everything I see in the skies above Illinois and Missouri is an understatement. His video entitled "Dome spotted in Illinois!!" is interesting.

What is it he's seeing? The National Weather Service has the science behind sun halos, sundogs and other sky phenomena explaining "sun or moon light refracts off ice crystals present in a thin veil of cirrus clouds. The halo is usually seen as a bright, white ring".

Sad to report that there really is no dome (that we know of) over Illinois which means that our reality is not The Truman Show where we're surrounded by actors.

Back to my original point, I am not making fun of the guy who shared the video. It's cool that he captured the refraction of light over our heads. Never underestimate creation to awe us even if a dome would be really fun to play inside of.
