This new ranking shared by 24/7 Wall St features some really astonishing numbers about how many people live in a one-person household including one city in Illinois that' almost at the very top of the list.

Congratulations, Danville, Illinois.

Check out these numbers. Danville, Illinois has 12,292 households of just one person. That accounts for a sad 39.7% of Danville's population.

Only the District of Columbia has more lonely people than Danville which is crazy considering how many lonely politicians live there. Sad face literally.

The Centers for Disease Control says there are inherent dangers when you live alone including an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. Diabetes, dementia and other mental health challenges are also part of the expected lonely person's higher danger list. There are indeed many who prefer to live alone and even more that have no choice because of their situation in life. If that's your ordeal, just know there are people that care for you. Hopefully those will keep a friends group close. It's not easy living in the land of me, myself and I.
