There’s good news for anyone attending, or planning to attend, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign: it just landed a spot on Forbes’ Top 25 Colleges in the Nation.

Choosing a school for the next four years is one of the toughest decisions a high school senior will face, but this ranking might make the choice a little easier. Forbes recently released its annual list of the top 25 colleges in the country, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign made the cut.

Why? According to Forbes, the university boasts an economically diverse student body, is a proud member of the Big Ten Conference, and has enjoyed major athletic success in football and basketball in recent years.

But sports are just one part of the story. Forbes highlights popular majors such as engineering, business, management, and marketing. Graduates also see strong returns, with average earnings of around $80,000 after graduation.
With one of my girls just starting high school this year, the conversations have already begun about what she might want to study and where the best place to do that will be.
