Illinois, Wisconsin Schools Closed or On Delay for Tuesday (1/23)

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through noon on Tuesday (1/23) with a rain, snow, and ice mix expected to be through the overnight hours.

According to the National Weather Service, up to 2 inches of snow and a quarter inch of ice is possible for Rockford by midday on Tuesday.

The freezing rain may mix with and change to a period of wet snow early Tuesday morning. If this change over occurs, some wet snow accumulations up to 2 inches are possible Tuesday morning. -N.W.S.
