After what we've been through in Northern Illinois over the past couple of weeks with a rollercoaster of temperatures, and everything on the menu from snowstorms to tornadoes, it's time for relief.

As we head full on into April some REAL signs of spring are starting to arrive around the Stateline.

Why do we love April in Illinois?

Personally, having the first full month of Cubs baseball is a reason to celebrate April. Any outdoor activity after being cooped up all winter is something to love this month, and we're starting to see things start to bloom.

I'm starting to see more patios open at local eateries, and this is the time of year when festivals and events are happening every weekend.
